Our EZ Go Workhorse was running fine. We put it in reverse to turn around and when we put it in forward, it would not move and now it will not move in reverse either. Checked the cables to the trans and they seem to be working moving the mechanism up and down on the trans. Any suggestions?

Yes, both pulleys are turning.

If the driven pully is not loose spinning on the shaft (the bolt will come out sometimes and they have done this) and your forward and reverse cables are not broke and working properly, then there is probably something broke in the rear.

That is what I thought but didn't want it to be true. Can I get a rebuild manual for taking it apart? We don't know anything about taking them apart. Another thing, we had another workhorse cart and the same thing happend to it so we took the motor out of it and put it in this one and now it has happend in this one. Is there some adjustment that needs to be made on the motor or is it just coincidence?

I doubt you killing 2 rear ends in a row is just coincidence, I've never had any problems out of them so my knowledge is limited about them. I believe you can get manuals from ezgo on those but it's not readily available over the internet

Make sure that you don't have a stripped brake hub - this can be a common problem...

I agree with Mike. I have heard that the hubs can strip really easy on Ezgo's if they are not super tight on the axles.

Most people don't know that a brake hub needs to be tightened to 85 ft.lbs. Have someone step on the pedal while you listen at each rear wheel. If you don't have center caps, you will be able to see the castle nut turning on the axle with the stripped hub...
