![]() The other place you could find one is in the garbage (which is where you might consider sending your entire oil injection system and just run 128:1 premix) ... I know it sounds like I'm being a smartass, but really I'm serious - that oil injection system is 23 years old, and it's VERY rare to find an injector on these old Marathons that still works completely as it should (and the only risk to removing it is your engine if you DON'T) - just a thought

![]() If I was suspect of the injection system, I would replace the injector. I am not wasting all that oil by premixing it. (yes I know the pump is over $100)

![]() You are about 3 days too late! I just pulled and trashed mine, I thought it was still in garage but just checked and it was picked up in the trash already. I too would rather "waste" one ounce of oil per gallon versus replacing a wasted engine, if I had it I would have gladly sent it to you. I dont pay enough attention to know if the injector were to quit working. Good luck!

![]() The problem is that you don't know when the injector quits working. It can also pump more than it needs, wasting oil and really bogging the motor down or clog the muffler. Premixing will save you hundreds of dollars, it is just a question of when. It also costs less than $5.19 to remove the premix system.

![]() I too will have a res cap for you as I am pulling my oiler out my 90 this weekend. I found that the hose has been leaking on the former owner so who knows how well this engine has been lubed. I am dumping the pump in favor of 128:1 premix. Go team!!

![]() Thank you for the offer of sending the cap :P. Ended up calling my EZ-GO dealer, and got a little "executive discount" :)

I yanked my injection system and tank and poured the oil from the reservoir into a clean container and I measure what I need when I premix my gas. I'd sooner trust me to mix it correctly than a 20 year old piece of hardware but to each his own. | |
