Default 91 EZGO shorter belt

I am looking for a shorter belt for my 91 EZGO 2 cycle cart. It has a 41" x 1.188" belt on it. The only belt that I have found that is not over 1" shorter is a HP2021 40.500"x 1.187" belt. My question is do you think that the 1/2" shorter belt will give me any benefits in low end tork or should I just stay with the OEM belt? The belt that is on the cart now has a lot of slack in it but I am not sure how much slack is too much.

Look for Part # 27077-G02. It is 41 x 1 3/16. It is for a '91 2 cycle EZGO.

Speed...I just ordered that same belt for mine and the original is the same as yours. I expect to have it in a couple of days and will let you know how it does if you want to wait a few days.

well got the belt from UPS today...went out and installed in about 5 minutes. Once I figured out how to open both clutches at the same time it was a breeze. It does seem to have more starting power and starts moving much quicker without the delay time. However, my old belt was so worn and dry that it didn't have much grip. the new one sure does.
