Default 93 marathon won't move in gear

OK this cart is getting the best of me, I'm ready to take the plasma arc to it. I posted on here last week & got alot of help, and it is agreed that I should put new rings in my cart. I am getting some smoke, but I have been driving it around the house. Now I went to move it & nothing. If i put it in neutral position I can start it & it revs to full rpm's, as soon as I stop & put it in gear it only goes to about 1/2 rpm & no movement. I put it on stands & tried it & the clutch sheevs on both drive & driven moved in & out like normal the engine went to full rpm & the wheels moved in each gear. I'm confused or it's something that I'm missing as to what the problem is. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can throw at me.

Could be brakes grabbing.

I can put it in neutral position on the shifter & push it easy, so not the brakes.

Moving the weight of the cart and the driver could be the power problem depending on how badly it needs rings. I would check the comp. to see the values then look at your valve lash for some adjustment. I would check those hubs like el wappo says but it seems like a comp. issue without actually seein what it's doin.

Sounds like its time for a new hub, have someone hit the petal while its in gear and see if the axle nut is spinning, whatever axle nut is spinning will be the bad one(u have to remove the cap if its still on).If neither are spinning make sure your rear clutch isnt spinning on the shaft going into the rear.Report back if that was it or not.
