mystery part
been messing with an 89 gxt800 off and on. recently when installing the front lift ran into an interference problem with a bracket. had to remove the "thing" and supporting brackets to fit the shocks. an gxt800 is a marathon with a diamond plate body and a tilt bed. it also has hd front and rear springs. anyone know what this is? maybe a plow mount or a winch support? thx

Re: mystery part
i think it is definitly factory made. very heavy duty, etc. have another 800 in the field- need to go look at it. wierd tho, this is central tx. although don't know how it came to be here. renter left a lot of stuff in lieu of rent?
i think you are on the right track tho. it must be to lift something. any old ez dealers out there? |

Re: mystery part
My guess, it's not an original part. Just because it looks professional doesn't mean that someone didn't make it. There are some excellent fabricators out there.
Just my thought! |

Re: mystery part
My bet is that the cart came from a golf course or driving range. That looks very similar to a ball picker mount to me...
