newbie w/ questions
Hey everyone, just won't to say great site along with some badass carts. I do need some help though. Got a 2000 ezgo gas and order a lift kit for from a buddy of mine but it just does not line up nor fit right. The rear springs that came with it are 4 leaf and have the cart lifted way to much in the rear. I have not seen other leafs like it and the front spindle arms hit the wheels. Now on the box it has 94 to 2000 ezgo lift what are the chances you think that it could be boxed wrong. Any info would be greatly apprecaited. One more thing is that it did not have any direction.

Re: newbie w/ questions
cornbread,
what brand and type lift is it? it sounds like you have a heavy duty rear spring set. do you have a seat on the back (i ask, because most put the hd set on with a seat addition)? also, not sure if all the lifts are like this, or not, but my tires did rub after putting on the front lift (used my old stock tires while moving it around in the garage). more than likely, you'll have to have rims with an offset spacing (puts the mounting plate closer to the inside of the rim, thus moving the tire away from the cart). also, as far as the rear of the cart, how is it set up? meaning, are the leaves underneath the axle (stock), or are they on top, or on top with a spacer between the axle and shock plate? i have a 97 i just put a 5" drop axle lift on. |

Re: newbie w/ questions
Sorry I forgot to put the year, it is a 2000. I think even with people on the back of it, it still would not give any, these springs could support a truck. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Thank agin.

Re: newbie w/ questions
the guy at the local (well, 30 miles away, so not really local) cart shop had a cart they got cheap and were lifting and modding to sell. he put the hd springs on the rear and found it too stiff. he took out a leaf, and said it's much better.

Re: newbie w/ questions
The thought had cross my mind to do that but the front still concerns me. I'm still trying to get in touch with the guy I got it from to see if he has another kit avb.

Re: newbie w/ questions
With most all lifts, off-set wheels are required. A picture is worth a thousand words, it's the only way we can give you an accurate assessment of your problem in this case because we don't know what lift your using.
