Default Shorter belt question on my 88

Ok just a question. I installed the shorter belt om my cart and have drove it around for 20-30 min. It wants to move when starting in reverse with the starter. Is that normal until it gets broke in better? I rolled on by hand so I "assumed" everything was ok. It didn't do this when I first put it on or with the original belt.

Yes, mine did the same until it broke in and stretched a touch. My replacement belt was just 7/8ths shorter but it made a big difference.

What belt did you put on? I want to put the shorter belt on my 88 also. Where's the best place to order one?

The one listed in the stickies for it. The HP3004. I found the best price at sled parts, I believe it is 7/8 shorter

make sure your original belt is not different. Mid 88 belt length changed. You may be ordering the wrong one. here is my original search based on original belt I had.

the belt your talking about would probably be for a 3PG big differance between 41 and 45 inchs. An easy way to decide is if your driven cltch is on the side of the diff you have the 3 PG and will need the longer belt
