hello,
newbe here i just bought a 83 ezgo gasser.we got it to get around at the motocross tracks rather than walk or ride a 4-wheeler.. after going through and cleaning the carb, fuel pump, gas tank, replacing the fuel lines and filter, and other typical matinance stuff i noticed the cluch can slide right off? is this sopposed to have a bolt holding it together? the cart moves fine forward and reverse but i just shattered the dust cover because it slid out into something when we were flying across the yard..this doesnt seam right to me.. also one other question,i dont see any oil injection bottle anywhere..so i assume i just have to mix my gas,but was this beauty sopposed to have an injection bottle and someone removed it or did it come this way back in 83? thanks for any help ![]() |

The clutch you are referring to is the driven clutch. YES it is supposed to have a Bolt, Lock washer, and Fender Washer right in the center of it. In 1983 the oil injection systems were special order only options. They did not become standard until late 1984... I was told by one of the long time engineers when I was at the Factory that the switched because too many people forgot about adding oil to the gas and engines kept burning up Bob |

In the 1989 manual, the bolt is listed as 5/16 - 18 x 4 LG. I'm not sure it's the same on a 1983, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't.
P/N's are 20 - Retaining washer, 22496-G1 21 - Lock washer 5/16, 00565-G8 22 - Screw 5/16 - 18x4 LG, 00441-G8 |

The 2PG clutch bolt is longer and smaller diameter, and no I don't know what the size is right off hand |

Dang! They changed models in '89, eh? My mistake. I wish I could find a 2PG manual on-line. I would imagine they weren't in PDF format at that time. Thanks for the correction, Bob. Barry |
