Post Workhorse Guy's What did you do for wider fender guards

Hi all I put a set of 23 x 10.5 x 12 wheels on my 2003 Workhorse ST 350 with a dump bed. I have the wider front fender mud flaps but my tyres still hang out too far more so on the rear.

Is there a clip or screw on black fender / mud guard extension that will look ok? to suit my cart.

Any photos of what you have on your workhorses would be great and where to get them from.

Thanks

Aussie

Aussie, I've been thinking on this as well. Right now it appears to me bigger tires, I'm talking 22" for me, may not fit on the back of my workhorse without rubbing. This would mean I'd have to cut some of the fender off, so trying to add fender flares on the back doesn't seem possible.

I suppose it's possible if things are close I could get some shackles that are an inch longer and get by without cutting.

I've wondered about mud flaps attached to the box. This would keep down mud from the back, but I don't suppose they will do anything about mud coming up over the outside of the tire.

I moved the stock fender out 2 inches. It wasn't enough for the 25x12 tires that went on later but maybe you could go wider? Or maybe this would be enough?

Thanks Scotty, that might be what I need.

I'm thinking with taller tires it's the bottom edge of the fender that may get in the way. If I can move the stock fender out a couple inches that may solve my problem since I'm only going with 22x10-10.

Have to take a look at that later today.

Scotty, after taking a look at the fenders, I don't think I can move them out a couple inches.

The fender on the dump handle side has an indentation in it for the handle. If I move the fender out the dump handle would then hit the fender.

Does your fender not have this indentation?

Hi Scotty, that would work for me Can you give me more details around what you did / put in between the 2 fenders and the rear plastic section that attaches to them I just can't make it out. Some more info and close up photos would be great.

My fender did not have an indent for the handle, mine has a dump cylinder. Looks like you will have to modify the handle. ?

So you're saying us peons with manual lifts will have to come up with our own idea.

Cut, bend, weld or otherwise mod your silly handle You can see where mine was above the fender in that last bunch of pics before I chucked it...
I threw mine in the scrap pile.

The rear was made up with a very lightweight metal C channel...
