Solinoids Burn out one after the other?
I just bought a cart. First one ever. 82 E Z Go 2 stroke. I had to rebuild the motor, new ignitor, coil, install new key, all belts, filters, plug, solinoid. I just picked her up and within 30 minutes she stopped cranking. I was able to jump the solinoid and she will run, replace the solinoid, she worked perfectly for about another 30 minutes. This one is burned out now.
Does anyone know what can cause this problem, the second was red hot to the touch after she quit. I know very little about carts and any advice would be helpful. Thanks Wilder |

Who has them. I assumed the guy that did the motor had put in the right ones.

Check out the site sponsors website. Some if not all will have the correct one.
If it that ends up being the cause and you had a golf car mechanic rebuild the motor....do yourself a favor the next time you need him to work on it. Walk...no run away as fast as you can and find another golf cart mechanic. If its just a shadetree mechanic who rebuilt the engine then its understandable. |

also check the voltage regulator. If it is not controlling the battery voltage, it could be up around 16 - 20 volts thus toasting your solenoid.
