Default Subwoofer Installation Question

I am wantng to add a amp and sub to my 95 gas power EZGO. I am wanting a deep bass but I am worried about the installation and the power requirements. My question is has anyone ever used the amplified Bazooka tube and if so how was the bass? Those that went the traditional route of a sub in a box w/ amp...Where did you mount the amp at to keep it dry and do you have pictures of the installation? How did you compensate for the additional power drain of the amplifier or did I need to worry about that?
Finally....Any ideas on a good inexpensive brand that will sound good?

Thanks

Getting deep bass is kinda hard on a cart cause theres no enclosure to it , but I went with a 12 inch pioneer sub I made a sealed box for it and put it in the bagwell. I mounted a pioneer amp which was 760 watts , and it pounds pretty good . I am thinking bout putting plexiglass around it to shield any water that might get sprayed up underneath. Only thing I have noticed was that when i gave my cart gas i would get popping in the 6.5 speakers but after research found out it was cause i didnt have resistor spark plugs. So far battery drain isnt bad but I did put a yellow top battery/car battery in it

Where did you put the amp? So you replace the small battery with a regular car battery in your cart?
Here is a list of what I have completed so far...I have installed a pioneer head unit in a roof mounted console that has Sony 6.5 3 ways.

cd, I used Bazooka tubes when I used to do the car stereo competition thing years ago and my two 8"s with 90wt ea to them sounded pretty good. They weren't Fosgate pro 12s but for the size, they did well. I am also trying to figure out the stereo thing for mine and I am considering a piece of 6" pvc with a divider and 6.5s in the ends.. might work
