finished my marathon 1989
after tearing it down and refinishing it.
painted it candie white with pearl [you really can see it ] building a rear seat assb, front push bar, build nerf bars [ they needed painted in that picture] diamond plate on the pedals , kick plate , and dash. also added a over head radio. different springs and shocks [with out them darn lift blocks] relocated the front shocks also. the seats do need cleaned in those pictures as it makes the cart look real bad. now starting on a 2001 txt. I GOT THE Fever ................. doest it end ?? rusty s |

I love the look of that cart. Now I need a brushguard. when I got my cart the seats were beige/tan. I used a few Magic Erasers on them and they are now immaculate white. I highly recommend them.

Re: finished my marathon 1989
Nice job on the Marathon. I'm building a 1990. How much lift did you put on. What size wheels and tires did you go with? Would you use the same size again?

Re: finished my marathon 1989
I built the 4" lift, using strykers 22"x10x8" tires with white rims and wheelcovers.
YA i only would lift 4" inches again, but at camp i would use a different tire; not an aggressive pattern or so round "O" i would try to get a square tread pattern[more contact with the road]. With the rear seat i added 14" springs and different rear shocks [new harley shocks] i still have the rear lift parts and the front shock extenders on the shelf. was thinking about trying a hei upgrade. and i use koltzs oil smells better at camp and all around for that matter . rusty s |
