I've got an 84 txt, the battery wont hold a charge. I dont use it for golf, but its got that power on demand thing (press the gas, it starts). I want to either change the starting mechanism out to where I can turn the key on and it's always running, or put in a battery kill switch. Which is eaiser? By the way if you couldn't already tell, I don't know a thing about this golf cart, just press the gas. Thanks

Why not just buy a new battery?

It already has a battery kill switch in it that should be part of the system. It should use no power untill the gas pedal is pressed, turning the key on should not use any power, it's only a security/safety device. if it does have a power drain, maybe there's an accessory that was added into the system or someone has mucked up the wiring.
