Does anyone know what this part is called and where I can purchase it at an affordable price?
Thank you, Alex |

Re: Ez-Go 1983
That part is your governor cable and mounting braket. I believe you can get the cable for about $8-10 Bucks for a site sponsor. The braket you will have just to re bolt back on.

Well, I don't have Word to open the document but if it is governor related parts I am curious as to why you want them. That is the very first thing I pulled off of mine and sent to the dump....

Yep, thats the piece I pitched in the trash. It rides against the driven clutch for the governor.

Re: Ez-Go 1983
thanks for all the replies.
i have more questions. perhaps a phone number would be useful. if i could call someone to help me out. My accelartor switch is ripped off. Can someone tell me where I can find it. Picutres would help with where the accelartor switch is located. I have to pump gas pedal to keep the engine running, when I remove foot from gas pedal the engine shuts off. I put brand new carbuerator and still the same problem occurs. Thank you so much, Alex. |

Re: Ez-Go 1983
I have a 84 and this cable is the most perplexing thing I have seen. What is this parts main function? To keep you from tearing other stuff up or more of a safety feature? All I can see it doing is once the kart gets up to speed cutting the TB is this right? Mine is not hooked up to the TB at all so if it just a governor it's dead weight to me.
