Default Back top support for workhorse

I'd like to put a top on my 99, 800 series, workhorse. Part of my problem is the seat back is not original, but instead comes off a golf cart. If my back roof supports would go down through the holes at the outside edges the way they do in the 1200 series carts I'd be fine, but mine are suppose to bolt to the seat back. Which is why I have the problem. Plus I've looked down in those holes and it doesn't appear there is any good support to bolt to.

As you can see by the picture the seat back has molded plastic that extends out too far above the seat support, so the top support will not bolt on.

I may have to just prefab something myself, in other words, go to my local welding shop. I think I can still bolt to the seat back, only go down instead of up when I go out to the sides of the cart. Then go up and across the back. It's also possible if I'm starting from scratch I may just use the holes near the sides and build my own supports on the body to bolt the top support onto. Right now there is nothing there buy the thin metal frame that holds the body on. I doubt that will hold the top support on very well.

If I have to make something I need to know, on the 54 inch top, how far apart are the bolt holes from the front support to the back support. I know the tops are 54 inches long, so I assume the bolt spacing front to back are less then that. I just need to know how far apart so I'll know if I have to angle the back support one way or the other to get the holes to line up.

If anybody has any ideas I'm all ears.

Anybody know the distance between the front top support and the back top supports.

I don't have a standard 54" top on hand, so I am not able to measure the distance from the front bolt holes to the back bolt holes. Which I need to know in order to figure out how to make my back supports.

I'd appreciate it if someone could take a measurement of the location of the bolts in their roof for me so I know where to start. I don't need to know exact location or their side to side location. All I care about it the front to back spacing.

Thanks.

To make sure I'm clear here for everyone. The top does not have to come from a workhorse, just a standard everyday EZGO golf cart top will work.

Basically I'm just looking for someone with a top on their EZGO cart, a tape measure, and 5 minutes.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

I will get u a measurement tonight when I get home if someone hasn't already responded by then. Another option may be to put a work horse seat back on that cart rather than the TXT back that you currently have.

The front to rear bolt spread on my Medalist is 50" O.C.

We looked for another seat back when I was at the dealer, and at the time he didn't have a good one. The one he had was bad, and I noticed it was much thinner then the back I have on now. So after seeing that, I'd kind of like to keep the current back since it is nicer then the stock workhorse seat back. Of course all of that depends of the ability to come up with something for the top support on the back.

Thanks. I figured they all used the same roof, so as long as it was a 54" roof it would be the same, no matter what kind of cart it was on.

Now I can get started on my back roof support.
