oil gas ratio
I have an EZ GO 3 wheeler with a 2 cycle engine. The man I bought it from said he ran it at 40:1 because it was so old. From what I've seen it should be mixed at 128:1 for it to run right. Thoughts?

Re: oil gas ratio
after a rebuild you shoud run 40/1 in the first tank. from then on ez-go recommends 1/128 to one.

Re: oil gas ratio
Madoc is of course correct but after the first tank if you continue to run at 40:1 you will hurt it. 128:1 is correct and this is 1 ounce of oil to 1 gallon of gasoline. Be sure to premix them and shake enthusiastically before adding to the gas tank. Simply tossing the oil into the cart's gas tank will just result in the oil sitting in the bottom of the tank. In fact I will wager that if you look in the bottom of your tank you will see some nasty oil slicks
