'86 Marathon Canopy
I have an '86 EZGO Marathon that I had in pieces for a few years. I just got around to putting the body work back on but my canopy seems like its very wobble.... Anyone have any pictures on how this is suppose to mount up?
Right now I have the front section sitting on top of the front body with a bolt and screw. The rear section I have bolted up to the outside of the seat backs. A picture would be great. Thanks. |

Re: '86 Marathon Canopy
Hey Watkins,
These photos help any? The front piece bolts on the ouside of the body - there should be a metal plate on the inside where the dash poskets are to reinforce the attachment. The rear piece bolts to the outside of the seat back piece in the direction of the bag holder. On mine, the bolt that holds the rear frame on also holds the sweater bucket. |

Thanks for the reply. No that doesn't look anything like mine. Huh. Mine bolts right on the hood above the glove box and above steering wheel. Hmm. Odd. I'll upload a pic tomorrow.

My buddy has an 86 gasser, and it looks nothing like that.
Almost looks like a home made weld there.... |

Re: '86 Marathon Canopy
I agree & disagree I guess. I can find pic's that look similar online but not with enough detail to see exactly how its bolted up. See below... this one looks the same however its too low rez to see.

The front of your cart looks like a older model. Looks like my 79, as it doesnt angle down at the front like the other 80's pictured in this thread. That is how the top would mount on my 79 also.
