sounds to me like a fault in the power supply or ground - jack the cart (so it doesn't run away) and put a DMM across the battery while it's running, you should be getting a steady 13.4 volts or so, if the voltage jumps around your regulator could be going ... Also, make sure your grounds are all nice and clean, tight, etc - as well as check the radio wiring to ensure that none of the wires are touching or adjacent to any of the other wiring on your cart (coil, starter.generator, etc) - sometimes if you zip tie, tape, etc your audio wiring to other engine wiring you will get terrible interference (static or crackling)

also, try it out with a different source - Iphones are notorious for being succeptible to RF and interference (not just with the phone signal, but with audio too - my old Iphone would break up terribly if it was within about 24 inches of an amp)

its going to be in your ground. i had the same issue. i tried several different grounds and finially had to use the ground terminal on the battery to get it to stop. the noise is generated by the engine which comes in threw the ground. but, a good ground is everything. a weak ground on the motor can make it run like crap also.

i think i got it solved..
i installed a ground loop isolator from best buy (15$) This seems to have fixed it for now...its pretty much just a little inline rca filter
I tried grounding it with even heavy gauge wire straight to the batt but no help..
thanks to all
