Default overloaded-no more grab on belt

My kids had every kid in neighborhood piled on our '01 gas ezgo cart. Now the drive belt does not grab when engine spins the clutch. It apears to tighten somewhat to the belt but does not grip to the point of spinning the belt to engage the other pully at the back driveshaft. Im hoping that someone more knowledgable can point me to a relatively easy fix for a man with a lot of tools but not much golf cart experience.

Sounds like you may need a new belt....... There is no tension adjustment.

Is the motor clutch closing ?

You may want to put the rear on stands and remove the seat to check this out?

At a stop the engine clutch is open and the rear clutch is closed. As the engine speed increases the engine clutch closes and the rear clutch opens.....

Sounds like an attitude adjustment may be in order.
