Here are the usual suspects to start with:

There is a microswitch on the throttle assembly (at the bottom of the firewall) - check that it's functioning and that the wires aren't broken/corroded, etc.

Check the keyswitch for proper operation, etc

Pull all the grounds (at the battery, frame, engine, etc) and clean them thoroughly with a wire brush, etc then make sure they are reattached completely and are making good ground.

After these basic items, then we'll need to start chasing the electrical path with a multimeter, so if these items don't solve the problem, get a meter ready and let us know, we can lead you from there

You might need to give us a few extra clues.

If the battery fully charged?
Did it just suddenly stop working or is his something you found dead on the road?
Do you hear any clicking when you push the pedal?
Is the engine seized (can you turn it over by turning on the clutch)?

If you have access to a voltmeter you should connect it across the 2 small terminals on the solenoid. Turn on the key and press the accelerator. Do you see 12 volts?

If you do then place the negative of the voltmeter on the negative on the battery. Now one of the big terminals should be 12 volts all the time and the other should be 12 volts when the accelerator is depressed.

Do you see that? Let us know.

BTW for safety you should either remove the drive belt or place the rear axle on stands just in case it starts.
