2003 txt won't start
I come home from work today and the golf cart is stitting in the front yard and my wife says it was running but now it won't start. I don't know what it might be but it turns over just won't fire. I think it is a fuel problem and there is gas in the tank...My question is how does the gas get from the tank to the engine? Is there a pump in the tank or is that the pump that is mounted under the seat? I disconnected the fuel line to see if gas was coming out of the tank but nothing. Any and all help is appreciated.

Re: 2003 txt won't start
You have a fuel pump located under your seat. The fuel pump has one line to carb, one line to gas tank and 1 line to the motor, which is where pulses from your crankcase causes the pump to work. Could be bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter or one of those lines have come loose.

Re: 2003 txt won't start
There should be 3 lines from the fuel pump. one to the gas tank. one to the carb and one to the vent (vacuum). Remove the one from the carb and turn the motor over. If no fuel, bad pump or could be bad line. Also if the valves are not set right on these engines they will not start. Be sure valves are set to .004. Hope this helps

Fuel pump was pumping and spark plugs are soaked in gas...guy at the parts store said it was probably a clogged air filter so I am picking one up today. It cranks fine without the filter but doesn't run real good with the air filter.

I would install new spark plugs. Before you install, take a new plug, gap it, and plug into spark plug wire. Ground the plug ,have some crak engine and see if you have good spark.

Re: 2003 txt won't start
Clogged air filter will cause it to flood. If it runs ok with out it, I think you have found your problem. If you can't get one quickly, take some compressed air and blow out the old one until you can. good luck

Re: 2003 txt won't start
Put the new air filter on today and still won't crank. I am started to get aggravated with it, think I may get somebody to look at the carb to see if the float is stuck or something.
