Lift Kits

I'm thinking of putting a lift kit on my cart. But I have little mechanical abilities. Maybe 3" or 4" Are there any out there that I might be able to handle?

How does the kit affect the brake cables and steering assembly. What happens to the motor after lifting? Any other questions I should be asking?

I want a simple, easy to install, hand holding, and about 3" to 4" lift kit.

Does someone out there make this kit? If so where do I send my $$$$ to.

do a search on Ebay for the seller "atv_expert" - excellent, easy to install block style lift kits for $60-80 in 4 or 5 inch (you'll need a minimum of 4" to have clearance for a standard 22" tire) ...

The kits are made right here in the US, are very strong and well-engineered, and trust me if I haven't broken my 5" kit over the last year, they're NOT breakable, hahaha

With 18s on the front and 22s on the rear. How will this affect my oil levels? Or if in doubt jack the front up when ever I check the oil ;)

He sent the install doc. I looked it over and it looks to be very easy kit to install. But what about the steering and power transfer? Surely this will affect them.

it's basically the same setup for yours as mine (88 2-stroke) - in fact, I'm almost positive everything is the same from 88-93 gas in the kit (mainly as we used the identical kit as mine on my buddies 93 TXT) ... Steering isn't affected too much, although MAY want to readjust it a bit as the kit makes the turning radius change right to left (a simple tie-rod adjustment) - power transfer is no change, as the kit moves the entire engine cradle (which also repositions the rear end) ...

The one thing I WOULD recommend though is swapping your shocks when you do the lift kit, the kits come with extending shackles for your stock shocks and while they work just fine you can go to Monroe 31125's on the front and 31000's on the rear and eliminate them entirely - not to mention your shocks are likely 20 years old-ish so not a bad idea to replace them - keep in mind that the $ you're saving on the kit will just about cover the shocks so it's not a huge investment but one thats easiest to do while you're doing the lift (which should take you under an hour with the shock replacement and all if you have a helper, slightly longer if you do it solo)

i put the 4" lift on my marathon...had it on in less than 2 hours, start to finish.....instructions SUCKED!!!.....bought the kit off a site sponser...left feedback on the product review....make sure to check fuel line and all wiring while jacking up rear to put in new rear coil spring spacers....i tore my fuel line in half.....not a big deal, after checking, it was severely weather checked and due to be replaced anyway......i also put on the longer monroe shocks on the rear......i popped off the steering wheel and recentered it after putting lift on front end......
a floor jack, jack stands, and simple hand tools for the install....

Hi Night, when I put a 4 inch block lift kit on mine it is a 4 stroke also, the only thing it changed was the oil level on the dip stick, when it is full on oil now it is on the middle mark rather than the full mark. also had to adjust the toe in, I put 22's on it with offset wheels. It is a easy project.

What about forgoing the shock extenders and using longer shocks instead?
