Lift kits and engine mounts
I recently bought a 2006 gas cart that the previous owner put a 5 inch lift on. I had an event where on an uphill climb the cart billowed smoke burning oil. It has not happened since.
Question: when a lift kit is put on this cart, it changes the angle of the engine. Is there a kit to remount the engine at the factory angle, and, if so, should I install it? |

Re: Lift kits and engine mounts
well without seeing the engine angle in the cart, here are my thoughts. when the lift kit changes the angle of the engine, the dip stick is at the front so some one may have put more than 1 1/2 Qt. of oil into the block. if there is allot of oil in the block, at higher revs the hose from the block to the air filter can have raw oil blow into the carburetor, and then out the exhaust as blue smoke. Drain oil with cart jacked way up in the rear (the drain plug is also at the front of block). Refill with 1 1/2 qt oil, mark the dipstick at that level (should be at or around the add mark)

Re: Lift kits and engine mounts
I dont know of a kit but you could lower the front mount with plate metal like 4" x 5" and four holes
