Default 82 Gas Marathon Help

hello, New to all this, have had this cart for about 3yrs now and just found this site.. had a couple questions.
MFG #G0182 (this is a 82 right?)

1 - the governor, where can i find this and either adjust or remove, i know it shortens the life.
2 - can you hook up a rpm gauge to monitor this?
also was looking to do a fuel gauge on the dash
3 - finding a repair manual for this unit?

Any help?? this would be great, will post with picture when i can get it looking better then it is lol.

Hiya,

First off.. If you get manual please let me know, I need one too..

The governor kinda comes off of the clutch attached to the differential. As it picks up speed the clutch extends pushing a lever which pulls the governor cable in, reeling back the throttle.

Look for the lever in front of the dif clutch, move it back and forth and follow the cable to the carburetor. You'll see the little stopper on the end of the cable.. loosen and extend that out or remove.

thanks for the info, will look at it in the next few days, as far as manual goes.. i did find a site that sells manuals for these and other carts, the site is
https://secure.golfcarcatalog.com/ca...TOKEN=80116499 there $49.95 each. Any ideas as far as an rpm meter goes to monitor that?
