Default Robin 244cc fuel problem

Cart will not run longer than 2 minutes. I've changed the fuel pump, lines and filter, as well as a new spark plug. It was running fine, then POOF! like magic, it seemed to run out of fuel. Any ideas out there?

Fuel cap did not seem to fix problem. Even ran it without cap and air filter just to trouble shoot.

Any other suggestions, from anybody? thnx.

Take a heavy screw driver and tap on the carb it may have a sticky float.
A little more information will help?
Does it start right back up, is the spark plug wet when it quits, is it hot,
is the exhaust pipe hot or cold when it quits?

Not sure on this, but does yours have a filter in the tank, also?

Yes, it starts back up within 15-20 seconds. It does not run long enough to get hot(like a boil over with a pumper). Have not grabbed the exhaust to see if it's warm.

Will try the stuck float thing. thnx.

P.S. Is the carb a pain to rebuild? Haven't done one for 30+ years.

If the regulator fails, the generator puts out 18 volts which overheats the ignitor and causes it to shut down until it cools. Nice easy test to rule this out. Jack up the back or remove the drive belt and run the engine at a about 2000 rpm. Now measure the battery voltage. If it is less than 17 volts I have just wasted 10 minutes of your life.

>@ Dave- I'll check the voltage again. Last time I checked it (for battery problem) it read 14.8 volts at the battery while running.

ALSO- none of the post for help are a waste of my time, and all are greatly appreciated. This old dog can be taught, or refreshed, of things forgotten about over the years.
Thank you again.....
