Question about rear end
So ever since we got the cart we have like a clunking noise coming from the rear of the cart. It is consistent while the cart is moving does not get worse with added weight. We thought it might be coming from the brake drums so we replaced them because they needed to be replaced anyways. Issue still remains. When we lift the cart and give it gas it does not make any noise only when the cart is on the ground driving.
Any suggestion as to what I should check? |

Re: Question about rear end
Does the oil pan cover on the rear end have any dents in it,
could be a wheel bearing going bad. Your going to have to pin point where the noise is coming from, the rear end, the motor, or a wheel bearing. It could be the brake hubs that you installed, if you didn't Torque it down to 140#, on the nut holding the hub on the axle, it could be making that clunking noise. Stand on the side of your cart at the rear tire, grab a hold of the rear of the cart, and shake it back and forth,/ side to side, and see if the hubs are loose, if they are you might hear the noise |

No visible dents on the oil pan and I Also forgot to mention we put in new bearings in on both sides as well. Also changed the rearend oil with Amsoil the old oil did not look bad and no signs of metal chunks or shavings. |

Re: Question about rear end
Does it have a pattern ? maybe that relate to a certain position of one of the rear wheels ? The rear main gear turns once per rev of a wheel so if it clunks at the same spot each time, issue with main ring if multiple times per rev but on a pattern, pinion gear or one of the spiders. If no patterns, who knows, get someone to drive and get your head back there.
