cart wont idle
Am new to gas carts, could use alittle help. When I give the cart gas, it jumps up to about 10-12 mph and runs fine from there on up in speed. The only problem is I can't get it to run at any lower speeds, is this normal?

What cart do you have? It sounds like your carb or linkage is out of adjustment. The idle screw should be completely backed off and the cable adjusted so that the starter engages before any throttle input. You should hear the starter relay engage before the butterfly on the carb is opening. What you have is making the throttle an "on-off" switch. Read some more in this thread.

Could be one of a plethora of issues, including linkage, carb adjustment, fuel feed, idle screw, or ????
What have you done so far to try and diagnose the issue? |
