Default Steering linkage help needed

Just lifted my 83 gaser with a 5" kit from ATV Expert (eBay). Took it out for its maiden voyage and found the steering linkage is binding when turning right. Looks like there's too much angle in the steering link to allow free movement. Anyone have any solutions to this problem? Thanks in advance!

Here are some pix. I'm not sure of the correct terminology, so I labeled one. I think the problem is the steering link being at too steep of an angle. If I put the steering link through the top of the steering arm, I think it would work. But the hole in the steering arm is tapered from the bottom up. I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem. If so, what did they do about it. Thanks.

I was thinking of drilling out the steering arm to accept the steering link from the top. I would lose the taper in the hole.....would that be a problem? I would think it would "wobble" when steering, but I'm not sure. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

I dont know what size but you have to drill out the hole for the tie rod and flip the tie rod over. Just the one end.

Thanks for the response! I would lose the taped hole by drilling it out. Does it matter?
