How to optimize a neglected Sport
I just bought a used 2007 Sport with 350cc which has been sitting outdoors for months. I would appreciate some suggestions to help me get it functioning optimally and fix any damage that could have occurred as a result of neglect. (Just want to restore to OEM, I don't want to hot rod it)
I would like it to run a little smoother and the acceleration/engagement is a little rough. There is also belt squeal on deceleration. This all may be normal, but this is my first gas cart so I have no comparison I have drained the old gas and run through fresh gas treated with Lucas, and changed the plugs which were blackened. Any other suggestions to get it tuned up and operating in tip top shape? |

Re: How to optimize a neglected Sport
It shouldn't be squealing and jerking, it maybe the drive belt causing this, maybe someone used belt dressing on it. Pull it off and turn it around, this will normally stop the noise. It may need replaced but that would be kinda odd for such a new cart. also check the starter belt, they like to squeal when loose. The cart is fairly new to have much wrong with it. you should follow the maintenance guide in the manual. it will tell you everything you need to do.
