92 EZ-GO 4 stroke rattle

OK, so I have a rattle at crusing speed that sounds like its comming from the clutch assembly (maybe). It sounds like somthing loose, but I can't find anything suspect when its not running. If crusing at max speed, the rattle is constant unless I push the throttle further down. It doesn't go any faster, but it quiets the rattle somewhat. I'm sure its not internal ie.. rod knock. Any ideas???

Hi firestop2, You could take the bottom seat off and start the cart in neutral and rev it up and down and look at the clutch and other parts while doing this, if that don't work, you could jack the rear wheels of the cart off the ground and start it and run it in forward and maybe pin point the problem then, Good Luck

Put it up on jack stands, reved it up with the seat off. and found the carb linkage was loose. Tweeked the retaining washer and solved the problem. Shes running smooth and quiet.
