94.5 Long Travel Lift in an 88 Marathon?
Anyone know if a long travel lift kit for a 1994.5 to 2000 could be adapted to use in an earlier cart like an 88 or 89? I know anything can be adapted to fit with enough fabrication, but what are the major diffs in the front suspensions? They are both orig leaf springs attatched to frame and axle right?
Anyone have any good pics of both? I'm looking at another project and want long travel without too much fab and would like to use a kit. The cart I am looking at is an 88 or an 89 to be had for cheap. |

It can't be had cheap enough to make this project worth the buy..... go find a 94.5 & up TXT before the good LTs are all gone.

Search on member Todwil. Only thing I don't remember is whether or not he adapted an LT or made his own or used one from an ATV.

What I'd like is a cart/buggy like your blue monster but with that 440 in it. I'm probably thinking straight atv axle, custom swing arm, sled secondary, and custom front end. That's why I was asking about the long travel for the Marathon. I'm sure there are better candidates but it's available and it's cheap. If I'm going custom anyway, does it really matter? With 50hp and long travel, shouldn't I be able to "Kill a Rhino"? |
