Default snowmobile engine swap?

Im pretty new at this extreme golf cart hobby, but im wanting to swap out the stock motor with a snowmobile motor and I was wondering if im going in the right direction! any advice would be extremely helpful! thanx

If your wanting to go fast I would say that's the right direction. Lots of people have done such swaps, as far as bang for the bucks $$$, you can't beat a sled engine. For a few hundred dollars you can get an engine that makes more power than these big vtwin engines that cost thousands.

I bought a 340cc kawasaki sled motor and i am now starting the swap but not to sure if i need a fuel pump/regulator or just rely on the gravity feed.

its a 1996 txt and im installing a 340cc pre 1982 artic cat kawasaki motor.

I think a small electric pump from the auto parts store would be what I would try. Xtreme Cartz (a member here) did this swap and I belive he had a real good thread about it, that is if it wasn't lost in the big hack. You can search for the thread or pm him about it. he used a big azz sled engine in a txt.

this cart is not mine but i am helping on the build it is in my shop now. he is a member on here his name is crazyclay hes going to kill me for posting these already oh well lol
