85 gas ezgo takes 20-30 seconds to get WOT
I got a 85 ezgo cart a few months back, I've done a complete motor rebuild
top and bottom (crank, bearings, seals, block, piston) the only parts I didn't replace are motor shell, and head, now with it up on stands. it will start but takes a while (20-30 seconds) the rev up. I have cleaned the carb, no luck, I read about the BBQ muffler thing, and have done that. with the muffler off the cart does the same thing, my buddy checked the spark he said spark was a little weak to almost missing every other time or every third time.. or so I've read about the HEI upgrade, don't know if this would help me, please HELP me if you can... |

When you say that you cleaned the carburetor, did you strip it down to the last nut, bolt, jet and nozzle? I ask as some believe that it is only required to squirt cleaner into the air intake and that most certainly will not do.

I pulled out the float, main jet and small jet in the bowl nut and shot carb cleaner all over the unit and then compressed air into every hole and passage I could see..
