Default 295cc Engine Performance Tweak Suggestions

Friends I am just getting into carts and picked up a 1994 Marathon with 295cc engine and I need to know what minor modifications can I do to get to 25-30 mph with adequate torque. City driving and campground cruizing mainly.

Would like to put a 4 or 5" lift and 20"or22" tires.

What mod's do you guys suggest and what performance gains come with the mod?

Thanks for the knowlege.

Have you looked into swaping 8.1 gears in the rear end? Would it loose a ton of low end? Im just conserned that the 295cc engine will drag with 4 people on it. What have you hard?
