Default 2007 EZGO ST 2+2 Steering Question

Greetings. Just found the forum. Its a great place to get some good info. I also have an initial question. I have a 2007 gas EZGO ST. Runs great but I've noticed that the steering wheel is rotated about 30 degrees clockwise when the wheels are straight. Interestingly, it was not that way a couple of months ago. Everything is unbent and tight and the steering works well. Anyone have any ideas of the possible cause and fix?

Welcome Aboard.. Don't know the cause if everything is tight, but if it steers an even amount from center to left verses center to right, pull the steering wheel and re-align it. (Might want to check your toe-in first)

Thx StoveBolt. Anything particular I should know about pulling the wheel? Assume its pop the cover, remove the nut, then is a puller required to remove the wheel from the threaded shaft? Let me know if I can return the favor.

You shouldn't need a puller, most will pop off if hit from the under side with your hands while sitting in the seat, some may need a mallet if they're older and have been on the cart awhile. you may want to leave the nut on a few threads so you don't smack yourself in the face with the wheel.

I run the nut up just until it covers the end of the thread, then pulling up on the wheel with one hand and my knees under it pushing up, hit the nut with a heavy brass hammer, sometimes it takes a couple good wackes. then before you tighten it all the way down, take it down the road to make sure you have it where you want it.

I take it your nose is the same shape as mine then Jon (from the first time you did it without the nut installed)

I have a better way now. I get the apprentice to do it for me.

No, never did that one but I can see the potential there. I have done things like that years ago when I was learning.

In a related story, as I was typing this my son just ran one of my carts into the side of the house. Now I have to fix the house and the cart, what a bonehead.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on it sometime today. I'm sure my nose would have been a casualty without the reminder. At least my house is ok.
