Re: no spark
Many causes:a) Bad spark plug; b) bad ignition coil; c)Bad ignitor; d) Bad wires/wiring and/or connections; e) bad ground; f) faulty timing, etc. Start by replacing the spark plugs and checking everything listed above.

Re: no spark
i hope you all can continue helping us. my uncle is not able to do much so im going to follow your instructions and see if we can get it started again
the cart set for a long period of time, we repaired the fuel pump n it fired up. run for like 30 mins and once it was parked, we ended up not being able to start again. we now have no spark "per say". replaced the plugs twice, still one spark. I purchased a chev module with the 4 prongs. without my uncle here, i really dont know which part is the one on the cart that will be replaced with the GM module. SHOULD I INSTALL THE GM MODULE OR GET THE ORIGINAL PART DO I TRY REPLACING THE MODULE OR THE COIL FIRST is there a way to test the coil, i checked the continuity on the coil and its good in that regards any help is very appreciated, thank you for your time |

Re: no spark
Before you start considering going into a different configuration (like the HEI), stick to to the original set-up first. I believe that this is just a matter of "loose connection" or low/weak ground. Check connections to the pulse to ignitor to the solenoid. Then check your wiring from the ignitor to the ignition coil.

Re: no spark
I agree with Worqhors Likes check grounds even the ground strap from the engine to the body. If it looks ok check it anyway. Likes get it running then change the coils.
