Question Factory Wheels with Drop Axle Lift?

I will be getting a 5" drop axle lift for my 04 ezgo gas cart. Can I use the factory wheels and tires without an issue?

Probably not. The offset on factory wheels will often interfere with the hubs or spindles. My Jake's lift said in bold print, "factory wheels will not work". Hope that helps.

Thanks. Any idea what the offset is? Is the factory wheel too deep? I dont have the desire to get new rims and tires.

I use the Jake's lift with 2+5 offset. What that means is the wheel is 7 inches wide and my offset is 5 inches back from the outside of the wheel and 2 inches from the back side of the wheel in if memory serves me right.

I am not sure what the offset is on factory wheels but you also need to be concerned that the 8 inch factory wheel may not have the clearance inside the wheel to clear parts also where a 10 or 12 inch wheel would given the same offset as a 8 inch wheel.

Does that make sense?

Probably the easiest thing to do is ask the lift maker if you can retain the factory wheels or not.
