Default Back up buzzer

Does everyone still have the reverse buzzer on their carts or is this something you can disable?

Find it and disconnect it. I just cut the wires, very simple.

In some states it's illegal to disconnect the buzzer

I took a piece of tape and put it over the buzzer so it not so loud. That way the kids know it is in reverse when they get on and go.

I didn't want to disconnect mine because there are times it is useful. Like if you're parked 6 inches away from the garage door, jump on, and touch the gas without checking to see if it's in forward or reverse. Or if the kids do the same.

But at the same time I wanted it quieter since I use my cart for hunting. I cut some pieces of foil backed insulation and fitted them into the beeper. Then covered that with tape. It's been on for close to a year with no problems. If it's quiet you can just barely hear the beeper.

It does help if you can still hear it a little. That way you don't walk off with it in reverse and it sits and beeps for 2 or 3 days till you come back to find the battery dead.

First thing I did when I got it home within 10 minutes was unplug that thing. It kills my ears.

Good move Kpage
The folks that disable it all together will likely find why it's a bad idea soon enough. Then of course, they can remember fondly the day they read this post.
