EZGO rear axle and hub question - Scotty and Others?
I've burned up a few hubs and am going to bite the bullet and do a new axle / hub combo. Scotty/guys, where do you recommend I get these at. May need some guidance on doing the job, but I'll get the parts first. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Re: EZGO rear axle and hub question - Scotty and Others?
Also, a question on the proper working of a rear axle. When the cart is jacked up from the rear, does it make sense that the driver tire spins first before the passenger? Thinking it does since the drive belt favors the driver tire, but just want to make sure.
If not, is there an adjustment for this, or is this indicating some other problem. Thanks Scotty / Guys! Ezrider |

All carts are only one rear wheel pull unless they have been modified.

Re: EZGO rear axle and hub question - Scotty and Others?
OEM TXT are an open differential. With equal traction, differential speed is split evenly to each wheel. When one wheel has LESS traction, IT gets all the diff. speed. Ever see a regular car with enough power and an open diff. and be smoking one wheel...you get the idea.
There are limited slip kits available for the ME29 that attempt to mimic a posi unit and shift the power to the wheel with the MOST traction like in a regular car with a posi unit. |

Re: EZGO rear axle and hub question - Scotty and Others?
One more follow-up. I have new hubs on and things are tight. When the cart is jacked from the rear, the driver wheel engages much faster than the passenger wheel. Why is this? Is there an adjustment to the drive belt or something?
Thanks in advance! Ezrider |
