Default 04' ST 350 brake adjustment

Thanks for the great site!!I am new to the cart game but was offerred a 04' ST 350 with 400 hrs for a grand. Looks like quite a machine for the price. My question the brakes need adjustment/replaced. Pulled a tire, the hub is splined to the axle shaft, but also has a hole in it for adjustment? Do I need a puller to remove or just beat the snot outta it? Thanks in advance for any help!!

Not 100% sure about the ST's but I'm betting they are cable brakes. If so I usually crawl under and see where the peddle pulls the cables and I tighten the adjusters there.

Thanks for the reply. No cable adjustment (on drum side anyway) I could/might take up cable slack with washers and "adjust" brakes that way. Just end up replacing drums sooner than later

My third post! Yeah I found a cable adjustment underneath the pedal. Bottom line, these brakes suck for a 1000 pd machine. Are there any disc brake after market options out there?
