Default So I have this motor...

after I was sold a 96 txt with a completely blown engine, this motor setup came with it as a replacement. This setup did not match the 96 setup. the sled goes front to back, and the 96 the motor mounts were left to right..
the brake cable is a few inches shorter then the ones on a 98 txt.
Is there a way to determine what brand and kind of cart this belongs to? Is there a safe way to test it? all wires except the key and accelerator pedal are connected.
I think my goal is to sell it, but its tricky without knowing what I am selling..
the motor says robin, made in japan is on the rear.. the sub frame is tubular, and my current frame is square..

That setup there is for a marathon. It uses a swing ARM type with coil springs in the back. Like 92 to 94 4 stoke marathon. 95 and up they changed it to the cradle with leaf springs. The engine itself was the same it will bolt right up.

well racin I have no problem separating the motor and rear. I dont have the $$$ or capabilities to construct a cart from the ground up. All proceeds from this will be used to modify a stock 36v txt. sure would be nice if I could just trade for things I need.. enclosures, tires, rims, knight rider gauges... If the rain ever stops the plan is to hook up a battery and gas tank and see if this really is a running motor or not.

I have a 93 marathon. And that looks a lot like mine. Can't tell because the top of the motor is covered.
