Default 1990 marathon fuel system

Hi
So i was beginning to work on my 1990 Ezgo marathon cart, and noticed some pieces missing in the fuel line. First, there is a sticker on the frame saying that this cart is oil injection, but i plan on just mixing the gas myself, but it looks like the oil tank is missing. My question is that there are 3 hoses, one off the top of the gas tank, one from the carb and one from the crankcase. there is nothing in between, so should there be a fuel pump in this system?

here is a picture

Thanks,
Mike

thanks, didn't get a chance to take any pictures today, but i labeled the 3 lines in the pic. I did some research, and found this fuel pump

https://www.everythingcarts.com/p-12...fuel-pump.aspx
i think that one is the one i need, tight because i have a vacuum line coming of off the crankcase?

Thanks

The fuel pump mounts on the side of the frame, between the fuel tank & frame. One hose runs into the left side of he pump from the tank...the other two hoses connect to the right side of pump. One to the carb & the other to crankcase.

you can see where the hose runs under the frame...this is where the pump is located.
I did notice there are two different pumps for these...1990.5 & older, or 1991 & newer (which is the one, I think, you posted). Double check your year. I saw the 1990.5 & older on eBay.

Fwiw, mine also has the injection sticker, but not injected.

Ok, thanks. I did see that there where the 2 different year pumps, but the older one only has 2 connections, so i figure i need the on with 3 connections since i have a vacuum line, like you DaPeach.

Thanks

Hey, sorry i haven't posted on here lately, been busy. So, i got the new pump installed, and the pump is working.
My problem is that the fuel is only going into the float bowel, not into the engine. I think the carb isn't adjusted properly, so could anyone give some advice on how to adjust it properly please?
Thanks

if you mean there is no fuel showing on the plug when you spin the engine, you probably have a clogged jet. drop the carb and do really good job of cleaning it. a spray carb cleaner works wonders. be sure the jet in the bottom of the bowl is clean.

I know I was having a similar problem with my 85. I had to adjust the "tang" on the float that presses against the jet. It was too spaced and was keeping the jet from allowing the fuel to enter the air steam, preventing any combustion. If you look in the service manual for your buggy, you should see the reccommended space/gap of this tang and how everything should adjust inside the carb wrt the float. If you don't get an answer to the spacing question in this post you may need to ask the question straight up again. Also like madoc said, if you have it off, you may as well clean it up as well.
