Default Pilot Screw

What's the proper setting for the pilot screw and how to set it.

Welcome to BGW Loosen the nut turn it in until it stops then back it out 2 turns and lock the nut. Take it for a ride you may have to readjust it slightly 3/4 in or 3/4 out to your liking or should I say the carts engine.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. While I've got you, another question. My engine backfires when I slow down. I understand that a throttle spring needs to be adjusted, so the throttle plate closes all the way. What's the procedure for that.

Again with the foot pedal aprox 1/8 down adjust the cable toward the front of the cart to make sure the throttle plate is closed. That where the little spring comes in to play upon releasing the pedal all the way it does not over load the throttle shaft firmly closing the throttle plate. K

Can someone upload a photo of the pilot adjustment? I think I know what to do, but am unsure.

Thanks,
Bro. Dave

On my 1997 EZ-GO I don't have that spring set up. My throttle cable goes all the way back to the governor, then once the gas pedal is depressed all of the rods go into action.
