? about temporarily reducing speed
2011 Gas powered TXT
I've fine-tuned the governor to my liking, and I really don't want to mess it too much. Is there a quick way to temporarily cut down the speed when kids are visiting and want to drive it? I'm not sure what exists out there, but my first thought was something to temporarily attach to the back of the pedal, so it can't get depressed all the way. If they are devious, I'm sure they could remove it once they get around the corner. Is there anything that I could do to the motor to limit the power (without using a ratchet to adjust the governor). The goal is to reduce power easily and temporary. thanks |

...or drill a hole in the pedal & put a long bolt/nut through it w/ another nut to lock it. You could make that as adjustable as you'd like & they can't remove it w/o a wrench or two.

Re: ? about temporarily reducing speed
And let them know that if the "governor" is removed or altered, then they have taken their last ride on the cart! Simple because we all know that ALL kids do exactly what they are told.
They are all open- minded, which means one of two things: 1) They are open minded and their brain fell out, or, 2) They are open-minded and what goes in one ear goes right out the other since there's nothing in the middle to stop it. |

Re: ? about temporarily reducing speed
the bolts, and the block of wood sound great, BUT you have to press the pedal to start the cart
