2 stroke 86 1/2. No start diagnosis help.
I bought this cart not knowing a much about engines or gas golf carts. Was running. And heres where it gets wierd. Was leaking gas from carb, the cylinder piece wasn't entirely on, tightened, but ran out of gas before I could see if I helped anything. Found out by threads and pictures from here that I was missing fuel filter and air filter. Will be ordering soon. Checked obvious things like battery, connections, new spark plug, took muffler off, but still not getting it to fire up. Took apart carb, put back together but didn't replace any gaskets or anything cuz I figured it was running off worse; tried shooting carb cleaner in to start, but not much. Checked fuel lines. Sprays fuel out of the thing into carb fine. Now before you ask, no I haven't done a compression test yet, but I see no cracks. Any suggestions until I can buy the tool and fuel and air filters would help.

Hole in line of gauge tester. Got different one. Reading 30. And I know that's really low.

Carb bottom bowl thing isn't getting gas. Fuel is going through lines out the spray hole. Tried cleaning carb again, going to finish tonight and put back on but any other suggestions would help.

Unfortunately it won't matter what you do, that engine will not run at 30 psi. A big criteria for a 2 stroke is that it needs to build crankcase pressure to transfer fuel into the cylinder and if it is leaking that much compression that isn't going to happen. I see a new cylinder, piston and crankshaft seals in your future. Do that and the engine will roar.

Got it fired up with some spray from carb cleaner. Think pump might be out cuz it didn't stay on and not much fuel came out when pulled hose from carb. I wanna do the rebuild just so I'm sure, but baby steps unfortunately til then. After I get a new pump I'm gonna do another reading to check.
