Default Cart Died after going down bumpy road

hello, more problems, went down a bumpy road and the cart died, could not start it. Checked everything and finally thing I have the problem. The is no spark. I am going to check it today but I read that there should be about 150 ohms across the (COIL?). If this ends up being the problem should I try to fix it or is it easier to just replace it?
Also, I haven't put a snorkle kit on it yet but the carb continues to clog up and I find sand in the bowl each time. Are there better filters and are they worth the money?
I spend so much time and money keeping this thing running I can't save up for a lift and wheels.

Checked the ohms and they were 3.8-4.0 then I checked the ohms on my dad's cart and they were the same. What I did was pull the red and white wires and tested across the 2 tabs. Did I do this right?, could there be another reason there is no spark? I sanded the spark plugs and regapped them and they were wet after trying to start the engine. The starter goes fine but the engine does not fire. thanks for the help, ed

Cool Re: Cart Died after going down bumpy road

Good luck with the fix. My neighbor had to buy a new coil and it was $110+ locally.

Used the electronic spray cleaner on every connection I could find and found a loose nut, tightened it and everything is fine again thanks Tom.
My dad is having the same problem, He already spent over $500 at the cart shop, they just threw parts at it and it still does not work right. I checked all the connections and they seem fine, I think I have to check everything over again and see why he does not have spark

What it the best(safest) way to test spark in the sparkplug?

Pull the plug, then lay it on a good ground and with the wire connected turn the motor over, should have a good blue spark.

If not, stick a bolt the size of the plug terminal in the wire boot, so it reaches out and hold it about .25" to .50" from a good ground, if a good blue spark, plug is bad, no spark look else where.

I just hold the wire (not to close to the end) but if you have a thing about electric use insulated pliers.

Can't wait to see your Workhorse lifted, but I know it tough being young and raising a couple young'ns (been there)
