Default 13hp throttle cable adjustment?

How do I make this throttle cable adjustment, to get a few more mph's out of my cart? Its completely stock Ezgo gas 2012 Express S4. Does 15mph on gps. 20 would be nice!
Thanks in Advance!

zip tie the spring on your governor or just hook your throttle cable to your carb. I did it on our Club Car limo and it went from 16mph to 21. No promise your's will hit 20 but it's worth a shot. Our cart is otherwise 100% stock.

Ive read some abreviated step by steps, for an ezgo gas throttle adjustment; but I looked in the compartment where I think the instructions were talking about looking...but I guess Im so dumb I dont know what I am looking for/at.
Anyone with the same Ezgo setup as i have in the attached picture shed some light on this for me?

easy as pie. follow the throttle cable to the top of the rear end. if you lay down under the back your cart you will see the cable. it has a threaded cable you can adjust. adjust a half of inch and it will fly.

Your pic is in exactly the right place the large spring is where the cable from the accelerator pedal connects. There is probably alot of play at the spring when throttle is at the off position loosen the jam nut and back the barrel bolt away from the spring to take out as much of the play as you can mine is out as far as it will go without losing the threads in the bracket that holds it with no over rev problems. On 23 " tires 25 mph is well in the safe zone you will still notice the govenor doing its job without hurting the engine.I can tell by the pic you haven't had the erlanson kit installed yet the belt would be riding a little higher in the driven clutch. If you think you like your cart now just you wait to see what glen's kit will do for you " spinning tires power I pulled my F 250 up the drive just to see if i could" no problem once i caught traction it took a person sitting in theback seat. Have fun and enjoy sorry it took so long to get back to you been at camp

Botiklr,
Thank you very much for the reply!
Got it figured out.

Javath,
I just read your post again...you've got wondering and second guessing myself if I did it correctly...?
You mentioned "There is probably alot of play at the spring when throttle is at the off position loosen the jam nut and back the barrel bolt away from the spring to take out as much of the play as you can...mine is out as far as it will go without losing the threads in the bracket that holds it with no over rev problems."
All I did was move the two silver nuts closer to the gold colored spring, and tighten them against each other.
I do seem to have quite a bit of slack in the cable now that attaches to the spring. Are you saying I need to take out that slack in the cable now? Do I need to take this slack out to ensure "no over rev problems." I definitely dont want any over revs. Im so new to the sound of this motor...Im not sure if I could hear 'over rev-ing'..
