Default Slick cargo box for Marathon on the cheap !!!!

Just thought I'd share a couple of pics of the new cargo box, I've been kicking a box around for awhile but came across this rear ATV rack for a Polaris Quadboss on Ebay for $72 and the seller was only 1/2hr from the house (DR Cycle Works in Muskego, WI) ... The best part is that I was able to use the existing mounting holes on the cart for the upper spikeguards (so no drilling or modification) as well as the mounting holes and rails on the rack itself (although I *did* have to slightly enlarge the rear holes to get it perfectly centered) ... A couple of 1/4" rubber bushings in between the box and cart to avoid rattles, a few 1/4-20 stainless bolts and fender washers, and I have a killer cargo rack installed for under $80 !!!

There are a ton of these on Ebay if you look, I had a chance to glance at one of the "Universal" imported racks while I was at DR and they really don't seem much different than the Polaris one I bought (paint vs powdercoating was the main thing) and they are routinely up for well under $100, or also with a matching front basket for around $130/set (or you could buy a "sporting clays" front rack from a "cart" store for over $100 alone, LOL) ...

Just thought I'd share an easy, inexpensive upgrade project that in MY opinion anyhow, looks like it was MADE for the cart (size on this one is 42.5w, 28.5l, and 6.5h)

It really does look good and with all the accessories available for atv racks you could really haul some stuff, Bucket racks, chainsaw holders, feeders, fertilizers,...

Hey brew what was the name of the ebay store where you got that box? I want to get one for my cart. Couldn't find it on ebay. That would be perfect for hauling coolers and race fuel at the track.

That's the relisted original auction - when I picked mine up he said he has a couple more, but he relisted them at $85 (I paid $72) - You should email him and tell him the guy from Burlington who picked up the other one referred you, I'd bet he would be willing to sell another one for $72, seemed like a really nice guy

If you find the roof brackets out there. Please let me know. That rear rack is really nice.
