Engine cradle shifting
I was checking the operation of my clutches the other day, and noticed that as the engine revved up the entire engine cradle shifted to the left, I'd say at least 1/4". I figured that the engine mounts were shot, so I bought new ones. After installing I looked again.....same thing. I have to imagine that this is preventing the clutches from opening fully, which wouldn't get me the max speed out of it. Am I right, or is this actually how it's supposed to work? What else could be causing this?

Re: Engine cradle shifting
Are all of the mount-bolts tight at the head, exhaust, and engine-block?The engine could be twisting in the cradle.A little movement of the cradle is normal on the rubber-mounts.Hope this helps.

I would also check the cradle pivot bushings and bolts that connect the cradle to the cart. Just a thought.
