Default ez go 1992 questions about uphill power

the tag on the passenger side below the console says k0292.So i hope that it is a 92. anyways i cannot get any uphill power. i looked thru the threads and i cannot find anything that nails my problem. so i got a new 40" belt. it was no help. checked my compression and i had 150 psi both cylinders.rode it down the road and it will shift in and out of rear end gears but not very well. seems to pull pretty well on flat ground but up a hill is horrible. engine just bogs maybe staying in the high gear? how do u know if your clutches r worn out. how can u tell if it is the driven or non driven. any help would be great. trying to start workin on golf carts in my spare time just need a little help. also i can take a pic of anything anyone may want to look at if u think it will help identify the problem with my cart.

If you can move the sheaves (by hand) on the driven clutch in opposite directions so the clutch will open up it's probably going bad. These are normaly very tight, they are super hard to move with hands

yes i can move them apart. the one one the drive side i can move down and the one on the operator in the opposite direction.cannot move them at all when i try to reverse the way i am turning the sheaves. also can move the drive clutch back and forth very easy(toward the engine and back out again). does that mean anything.
im gonna remove the drive clutch and see what it looks like on the inside.
again any help that u give is much appreciated thanks.

i got the clutch off and the sheaves apart. u have to remove a snap ring to get the sheaves apart.
be careful because the sheaves are spring loaded. i had mine in a vise.
the nylon slides were wore pretty bad got some on order. ill update when i get it back together.
oh, one other thing if you are reading this wanting to take your sheaves off of the splined shaft. my suggestion would be to wet the shaft inside the bolt hole and outside and let it set overnight. it was a pain.

I wish it had but no luck. It is my neighbors cart and they never use it. So, I haven't been pressured to work on it. I guess I will tear into the carb the next chance i get.

I had this exact same problem on my '02. I upgraded the Driven clutch, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the air filter, and believe it or not it turned out to be a $2.00 fuel filter. It looked fine and I could blow through it but it was clogged just enough to starve the fuel when under a load. I would try that before going any further.
